Organisers of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) today confirmed the theme for the 2016 conference programme.

This year’s theme is: “Transitional Strategies for an Efficient & Resilient Energy Industry” and was validated at the first ADIPEC 2016 Executive Committee meeting, held recently in Abu Dhabi.

Following on from a record breaking conference and exhibition in 2015, ADIPEC 2016 and its global conference programme will address a range of topics, including macroeconomic factors of the global energy landscape, along with a comprehensive range of plenary and technical sessions addressing more specific challenges, initiatives and methodologies for creating an efficient and resilient industry.

Michelle Boyd, Director - Middle East, North Africa and South Asia Event, SPE, organisers of the ADIPEC Conference Programme commented: “ADIPEC is one of the industry’s most important conference programmes and attracted 2,279 abstracts last year. We’re looking forward to another successful year in 2016 with a similar number of high quality abstracts. With 50% of the programme in 2015 comprising of papers from the Middle East and 50% from the rest of the world, ADIPEC is truly an international conference and exhibition catering to the needs of today’s oil & gas professionals.”

The latest edition took place in November 2015 and attracted a record-breaking 94,661 attendees from 125countries, including 8,555 conference delegates along with 2,050 exhibiting companies, 23 national pavilions, 14NOCs and 16 IOCs.
